WCU employs more than 2,000 student employees in a wide variety of on-campus jobs each year. Whether you are a student, supervisor, or hiring representative, we provide comprehensive information and resources that will help you navigate all aspects of student employment from start to finish.

Student Eligibility: Before you start applying, make sure you are eligible to work as a student employee at WCU. Students must be enrolled in the term in which they want to work for a minimum number of credit hours.

For undergraduate students, the minimum number of credit hours is six in the fall and spring semesters and three in the summer.

For graduate students, the minimum is five in the fall and spring semesters and three in the summer. Students must also maintain a 2.0 GPA to maintain eligibility to work on campus. Hiring departments may require a higher GPA.
