P.A.W.S.

The P.A.W.S. Mentor Program (Professional Alumni Working with Students) pairs Western Carolina University alumni with current WCU highly motivated students seeking educational and career guidance. This program gives alumni the opportunity to connect with students in a meaningful way and give back to their alma mater through guided mentorship and goal-based activities.

“I decided to become a P.A.W.S. mentor because I would have benefitted from a program like this when I was a student at WCU. I want to provide students with confidence and instill a growth mindset that goes beyond the classroom as they venture out into the community. I feel the P.A.W.S. Program not only helps current students but can also be used in future student recruiting to promote the fact that WCU and alumni will go the extra mile to help students achieve their career goals.”
