Sally DeLawter

Franklin, North Carolina – Afternoon Electives

Sally DeLawter grew up in Northern Illinois. After moving to the North Carolina mountains in 2004, she picked up her first dulcimer and immediately fell in love with its beautiful sound.

She has been attending Dulcimer U since 2006 and had completed the “Teaching the Mountain Dulcimer” course. She leads the Nikwasi Dulcimer Players in Franklin, NC, teaching beginners and intermediate players. She has taught adults and children at a local heritage center. She leads worship with her dulcimer at her small mountain church.
