Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to identify and manage our own emotions, as well as tune into and respond appropriately to others’ emotions. High EQ in the workplace is essential. Research confirms that individuals who are higher in EQ are more likely to be successful and advance in their careers. The good news is, unlike IQ (intelligence quotient), EQ can be developed over the lifespan. In this workshop, you’ll gain a better understanding of the latest neuroscience around emotions, assess your current EQ level, recognize strengths you can leverage for future success, and identify areas for improvement. Through participation in a variety of activities, you’ll improve your ability to express your own emotions appropriately and to respond to others effectively, and with empathy.
