Graduate Programs

The College of Engineering and Technology offers two distinct graduate-level programs: a Master of Science in Engineering Technology and a Master of Construction Management. Both programs are designed to support career advancement for those working in engineering careers or large-scale construction management projects. The curriculum for each program integrates coursework and research with applied-learning projects either on-the-job for working professionals or in partnership with one of the college's multiple private industry partners.

The programs are designed with sufficient flexibility to permit students to select a combination of courses that meet their particular career or research goals.

The Master of Science degree in Engineering Technology (MSET) focuses on the integration of technical knowledge and management skills necessary for the effective improvement and management of technology-intensive systems. The program is offered at WCU's main campus in Cullowhee for full-time students and in Asheville at the university's Biltmore Park instructional site for part-time, professional students.

WCU's Master of Construction Management is a fully online program designed for those working in commercial, industrial or large-scale residential construction. The curriculum, which covers budget management, project planning, legal and regulatory issues, building forensics and more, prepares students for management-level positions in the industry.
