The annual Tuck River Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 15, with registration being held from 9-11 a.m. at Western Carolina University’s Alumni Tower.

One Day for Western challenges include $25K match for POTM Ireland trip, $5K for speech, hearing clinic

Challenge gifts issued so far include an anonymous donor pledging to match up to a total of $25k to help send the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band to Ireland in 2024 and a $5k dollar-for-dollar match for donations to the Speech and Hearing Clinic.

Ricardo Nazario-Colón, WCU’s inaugural chief diversity officer, has been appointed by the State University of New York’s Board of Trustees as the senior vice chancellor for diversity, equity and inclusion and chief diversity officer.
